I went to pick up UW out of maintenance… I was a
little nervous because I’d only visited Oxford airport twice in in the last
20 years! So I was aware I needed to be  on the ball, I did my normal
    'A check'

I listened to the ATIS then proceeded to start
the aircraft … checking T’s&P’s were rising into the green, but as the
aircraft had been sat over night it took a little while to warm
    up.

Having obtained clearance to taxi… applied power
and released the brakes to move away… Image my surprise when she just sat
there.  ‘Ah!’  I thought ‘it must be because we are on a slight
slop’…so I applied more power, still no movement… but lots of noise. Then
    it dawned on me ….
    "CHOCKS"

I didn’t  even notice the chocks were in
place.....because we never use chocks for the fleet aircraft…So be sure to
check for the unexpected or unusual! Otherwise you will look like I did
when I had created so much noise everyone came to have a look 🤦♂️. Thanks
    Maisie!
