Newsletter 6th September 2024

Hello from Hot and Humid Enstone!
This week is the week the forecasts were wrong more than they were
            right!

The image above was forecast as  "broken clouds" 🤣.... someone must
have mended them! Then, just when we thought autumn was here early,
the image below, taken by Gill today is clearly not the forcasted  "foggy
with poor visibility". Spot the cloudoodle below!  😆

IMC Training is Tiring

Being a passenger is not quite as much fun as flying the aircraft...but all good passengers are welcome during Nigel's IMC training with Gill, and Florence proved to be a model passenger.  IMC training is one of the most useful tools you can have as a pilot.  Give us a call to find out more: 01608 678204.

Pilots in the Pub, Christmas Party

After the drizzle of yesterday, a warm cosy pub with good food and fun company was a great way to spend yesterday evening. Thank you everyone who, flew in or drove to get to Pilots in the Pub last night.d

We know you think that Christmas is a distant thing out there above the clouds but the tables available at The Falkland Arms are limited...We all want to be in the same room so there is a maximum of 40 places available.

There are two more Pilots in the Pub before Christmas:  3rd October and 7th November, when we hope to take a pint with you. But we need to let Felicity at The Falkland Arms know the number of people who are coming to the Enstone Flying Club Christmas Party! 😍  🥳  🧑‍🎄  🎅🏻

Christmas at the Pub is :
Friday 6th December : 7 for 7:30, The Green, Great Tew OX7 4DB.
Let Angela know who is coming along BY 30TH SEPTEMBER by emailing angela@enstoneflyingclub.co.uk .  We'll take your food orders nearer the time.
